Election Details
An election is to be held in the towns, villages, cities, wards, and election districts of the State of Wisconsin, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The following officers are to be elected:
Department of Public Instruction
One (1) State Superintendent, for the term of four (4) years to succeed the present incumbent listed, whose term of office will expire on July 31, 2025:

One (1) Justice of the Supreme Court, for the term of ten (10) years, to succeed the present incumbent listed, whose term of office will expire on July 31, 2025:

One (1) Court of Appeals Judge, for the term of six (6) years, to succeed the present incumbents listed, whose terms of office will expire on July 31, 2025:

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy, must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the office of the responsible clerk.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the first day to circulate nomination papers is December 1, 2024, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a town caucus for the purpose of nominating candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices will be scheduled during the month of January. The caucus will be held on a date not sooner than Tuesday, January 7, 2025 and not later than January 21, 2025. Notice of the scheduled date of the caucus will be given at least five days before the caucus.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if an incumbent does not file a Notification of Noncandidacy by 5:00 p.m., on December 27, 2025, and does not seek reelection, the deadline for filing nomination papers or declaration of candidacy papers will be extended an additional 72 hours or no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID, you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
